Ever since the announcement of the first digital Alexa, ARRI has planted itself firmly as the gold standard of modern filmmaking. Capturing the lion's share of Oscar-nominated films every year, top DP's like Roger Deakins have simply stated it's "the best system out there."
With the same sensor as the larger Alexa, the ARRI Amira has proven to be the ideal system for commercial work - with the ability to shoot handheld and capture the intimate moments of a story. With a bent towards a vintage aesthetic, Carson enjoys pairing the Amira with older lens sets to capture an natural look.
Along with the Amira, Carson also owns a Bolex H16 for film projects.
Carson Nyquist is a commercial DP based out of Atlanta, GA. Coming from a background as a creative director and humanitarian photographer, he has spent years listening to and learning from people across numerous ethnicities and cultures.
